Blue Eyed Grass
Perennial from the Iris Family. 10-60 cm tall.
Flower: Violet blue, center yellow. Has six petals (3 petals and 3 petal like sepals)
each tipped with a slender point. Blooms May-July
Habitat: Ditches and wet clearings, occasional on open shores.
Gets its name from the way the flowers appear like 'blue eyes' on grass like stems.
