Perennial from the Mint Family. 15-30 cm tall.
Purple; 2 lipped, upper lip arched, lower lip 3 lobed drooping. Approx 1.3 cm long.
Blooms May-September.
Habitat: Roadsides and shorelines, fields, clearings.
Historically used in healing. Used to stop internal and surface bleeding,
heal wounds and cure hemorrhoids. Also used as a remedy for sore throat and
mouth ulcers.
